Lost treasure in the shape of White Horses from Jacky

White_horses‘White Horses’ by Jacky (you can listen to it here) is one of the great lost pop records of the sixties. Originally a theme tune for ‘The White Horses’, an imported Serbian/German collabo kids programme (dubbed into English for us Brits) and reached number 10 in the hit parade.

Featuring a haunting (I normally hate that phrase) brass section and gentle strummed acoustics, Jacky (Lee) sings an ethereal ode to ‘snowy white horses’ with beautiful grace and quiet. FolkPop never got as good, or as psychedelic as this.[Mof Gimmers]
