The Cramps perform ‘The Way I Walk’ at Napa State Mental Institute

Only The Cramps could get away with playing their unique brand of sleazy gutbucket brand of punk rock & roll at a home for the mentally infirm. Napa State Mental Hospital was the scene of one of music’s oddest gigs ever. Lux & Co fired through Domino, Human Fly and the featured The Way I Walk to an all clapping and dancing group of patients. Some escape during the gig… only to let themselves back in to catch the end. This is bona fide genius.
