George Harrison sends himself up with ‘The Pirate Song’ featuring The Rutles

George Harrison was, by a country mile, the coolest of The Beatles. Lennon had the tunes, Macca had the hooks, Ringo had the snout and Harrison had the looks. One brilliant thing about George was his ability to send himself up. It all got a bit weird for the stars of the sixties after Charlie Mason went on his ramapge with the family, but our George managed to keep it together and not take life too seriously. An super example of this was Harrison’s appearance with Eric Idle and Neil Innes’ Rutles, spoofing his most well know solo song… in the style of a pirate.
