The Flaming Lips to expand ‘At War With The Mystics’

The Flaming Lips are set to re-release their ‘At War With The Mystics’ LP in expanded form, featuring their cover of the Queen classic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The new version will be released in the US on October 24, with the UK edition out on November 6. Sounds a bit like a rip-off to me if you’ve already bought the first non-expanded installment…

The new edition will be in 5.1 surround sound and features 13
extra tracks, including radio performances and other covers… although the
full tracklisting is yet to be confirmed.

The album also comes with an additional DVD including videos for ‘The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song’, ‘Mr Ambulance Driver’ and ‘The W.A.N.D.’, plus Wayne Coyne’s recorded graduation speech, which he made for the Classen High School class of 2006 (which you can watch for free by clicking here)

In the meantime, the band are set to take their bonkers psychedelic tour around the UK and Ireland later this year, stopping off at:

Brighton Centre (November 4)
Bournemouth BIC (5)
Manchester Apollo (6)
Blackpool Empress Ballroom (8)
Birmingham NIA (9)
Glasgow SECC (10)
London Hammersmith Apollo (13/14)
Dublin Vicar Street (18/19)
